If you happen to be in San Luis Obispo and don’t have plans for the dreaded V-weekend, come check out Pecha Kucha SLO at the Steynberg Gallery. I am one of nine presenters showing slides on a variety of topics that have nothing to with love.
What the heck is Pecha Kucha? It is a slide show format that originated in Tokyo in 2003 as a way to share architecture and design ideas without boring the audience to death. Each presenter shows 20 slides for 20 seconds, which keeps it fast-paced and fun (“pecha kucha” is Japanese for “chit-chat”). It has since spread to hundreds of cities around the world and covers all sorts of subjects. I’ll be showing photos from Disappearing Destinations.
Nowhere near SLO? There is probably a Pecha Kucha near you.
