I could honestly care less about the holidays. Really, I’m not trying to be a scrooge it’s just…I don’t care.
I don’t send out Christmas cards (and hardly ever receive them.)
I can’t buy gifts because Hi! I’m broke! And if someone gives me a gift I feel guilty because I didn’t get them something. Who likes to feel guilt?!
I hate Christmas music.
I work in retail during the holidays. Retail ruins EVERYTHING.
Bah humbug.
I worked for Starbucks for way too long, and that managed to ruin Christmas music for me. There’s nothing like listening to the same songs over and over, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. The worst part? They mixed non-Christmas music in with their holiday music, and those songs are forever tinged with the Christmas stank for me now. John Legend especially. Every one of his songs sounds like Christmas to me. Not in a good way. So yeah, I feel your pain.
