    dlayphoto: hrrrthrrr: the 3/50 project (via caitlinoppermann) I love this - and try to frequent as many local businesses as I can… One other thought - when possible, use cash at small, local businesses. Credit cards (yes, even debit!) charge a percentage of the total sale amount to the business (some of them COUGH-AMEX! charge as much as 4% of every sale)! Helping small businesses reduce those fees (by using cash!) can make a huge difference!  I know cash is dangerous to carry around (it spends too easy!) but if you’re serious about helping small business, then you should consider it.
